It wasn't too long ago that I was here asking for advice on how to get Nike (African Grey) to stop biting everyone but my parents.

I am pleased to say that I can now stick my hands in her cage without peanuts and she will step up without attacking my fingers!!!

Here's the weird part, she STRONGLY DISLIKES my father now. At one point he was the only person to pick her up. He must have rubbed her the wrong way and she is still holding a grudge.

And to think I wanted to sell her. Well, his loss, my gain...:)

:jumping40 :jumping40 That is great news, I am so happy for you. Greys can be very fickle, but with a lot of love and hard work they usually come around. You are now his new best friend, Keep up whatever you have been doing and you will have a wonderful, loving and very amusing Grey. We want to know everything that goes on with you two so keep up updated.

BRILLIANT. And well done to you.

Yesterday I decided to take my Grey into my living room and played some piano for it. It was a little scared! I couldn't tell if it was the piano was too loud for her or if she just didn't like the piano in general. She was sitting on my shoulder and every 5 seconds she would shake her head as if she had water on her beak or something (she didnt..lol). It was weird, anyone else see their grey shake their head when they dont like something?

My Amazon LOVES when I play for it, she sings along all time time! Is this something that my grey has to get used to?

Nike just needs to get used to it, give her time she will love you playing for her.

As far as shaking the head Bucc will do this, especially at bed time, when I ask him if he's ready to go to bed. :D Little devil would sit up all night if I allowed him to.
