And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
strikes again..It's once more time to make a batch for the kids. I have learned over the years to NEVER go grocery shopping while you are hungry :19: why do I continue to do so? But not only for me,but for the fids as well "ohhh they'll like this!" and "that looks yummy!"

So..besides the usual binders, here is what todays batch will contain.

Peppers of all shapes and colors, chilli's ( sorry RB none for you)jalapeno's,no ghosts this time.An egg or two but no honey this this time.
corn nibs and peas.

Purple grapes. 'nana (2). cranberry.baby carrot.green beans.radish.pineapple.mellon ( too much sugar?? :confused)

going to be using a technologically advanced stove (compared to my 40 yr old oldie but goody)

Keep your fingers crossed

I tried making muffins, nobody ate them :( :( and I was so proud. Lol

I might leave out the grapes and pineapple. They are mostly sugar. Try to get fruits that have more nutritional value than sugar - like berries. When I make birdie bread, I try to keep it a little simpler. A base of whole wheat batter, and perhaps two or three veggies and a banana. This way it goes over better with the finicky green chicken.

I gave Amy one of RB's fav's a nice fresh green chilli..she took it in her beak shook her head and dropped it then glared at me! Ungrateful so snd so..I'm breaking my butt for both of them. My chopper is in storage so I have to settle on my brothers blender. No matter what speed everything turns to soup:mad:
So now I'm cutting by HAND and I'm no chef...theres more blood in the ingrediance then in me and on the keyboard.

We will have to make more birdie bread in about 2 weeks.
It's a large undertaking but worth the effort.
Lasts about 3 months and all 12 Fids eat it.
The babies (Tiels) only get it once and a while but the larger birds git it every day.
Been giving Merlin bread 2X a day cuz he is a growing boy.

Hope to be making a large update on the Amazonian times this weekend.
The fires have not effected me directly but indirectly.
canyon roads blocked so traffic has been a real bear.
