The birds are forcing me into healthier habits.

I am definitely a health enthusiast!!! I work out almost everyday and eat decent, but I'm still about 20 lbs over where I want to be. I have a lot of muscles but I don't always eat the best, so I'm definitely looking forward to having a bird in my life again. I've been trying to keep to the "paleo" diet, if anybody has heard of that, but its hard when you have a raging sweet tooth!! It's easy to eat healthy when you have buddies!

I am definitely planning on exercising with my bird, so I'm so glad I'm not the only one!! I frequently go on hikes, so I'm looking forward to that so much!!

We should start our own group to help each other out and think of new ways to incorporate our fids into our work outs. :)

I have such a sweet tooth too! I LOVE fresh baked goods and I love to bake. I figure if I'm going to eat the junk I might as well make it at home with ingredients I can pronounce.

There's nothing quite like getting a nip from one of the birds because I let my arms drop too low while exercising. They let me know when I'm slacking! Kayak wakes me up early every morning by (as my brother and I put it) 'singing the song of her people' aka screaming her head off because the alarm went off and I hit snooze. She's awake therefore I need to be awake too so I can feed her and do the whole morning routine. She keeps me in line with my sleeping habits. I guess she's my backup alarm... only I can't turn her off or unplug her lol. I'm getting ready to go for a walk around the park that's near my house. I wonder what it would look like if I was just walking around with Carlisle in her harness riding on my shoulder or down my shirt? I'm sure the park ranger would not be amused. That man is very unhappy and never friendly. I would be amused! I have a fat cat that is the size of a small dog that walks nicely on his harness. He would be another I'd love to take for a walk around the park just to see the looks people would give me. Too bad the park has a no pet rule. :( Sometimes it's just more fun to have somebody (human or pet) to keep you company.

Im short and petite. I barely make it 5" -.- i exercise when Im not piled with homework which isnt too often. Good thing though, Bandit always wants what I eat so Im constantly eating what my little sister calls 'rabbit food' which is vegetables. Hardly ever eat chocolate or lollies because Bandit is always with me. Guess its a good thing really Bandit putting me on a healthy diet, most likely the reason why my mum tolerates Bandit, I actually eat spinach and broccoli now! They're actually not bad...

Hahaha That sounds cute! My fat cat walks on a leash too but he eats more than he works off!! My dog is 12, so she can't run with me anymore. :( I was thinking about putting up posters at my local pet shop soliciting for a dog running buddy. I'm sure there are people who need to walk/run with their dog more than not.

I'm really hoping my bird helps me eat healthier too!!

I am the TOTAL opposite , I need to GAIN weight. I don't have any mental problems ( besides being a slave to my fids :p ), and I have really good self confidence ,so I NEVER dieted to fit in. I'm only 55 pounds , and thats low for a eleven year old. I don't have strong hunger urges , I just eat when I want to . Sometimes my parants excuse me from dinner but they don't approve of it. People say I'm lucky, but it prevents me from doing some activities . My mom won't let me try horse riding because I'm " weak " , and its , well, embarrassing sometimes . Like ANYBODY could pick me up,andmy wieght has an effect on my strength. I'm scared that if I try out for volleyball next year the coach might turn me down because of my wieght . It's not always good on the other side either. GREAT job losing weight ! I know it can be hard, but fids always can motivate you !

Wow! 55 pounds isn't a lot at all. I hope you can gain weight and gain it the healthy way. I'm pretty sure at 11 I was already near the height I am now (5'7") and I was probably over 100 pounds at that point. Are you short and petite? There's nothing petite about me. Even if I lost a lot of weight I'd still be a "big" person. I've got big hands, big feet (size 11 womens), and the smallest pair of pants I ever fit in was a size 8 womens and that was when I was 12. What does your doctor say about your weight?

My docter says its nothing, everybody has their choices about when and how much food they want, but it doesn't stop my parants from worrying about. Now they are using my BUDGIES as an excuse for my weight. " those birds are taking the pounds off, ignore them for a few days . "
