Hey guys. Haven't been around in a while. Hope we're all doing good c:
I ran across this website selling a this feeding program. It's a book that tells you how and what to feed your parrots to keep them healthy. I have searched for reviews on this product and can't find any anywhere. I was wondering if anyone has bought it and what their thoughts are. Is it worth the money?

Here is the link.

Bird Tricks Natural Feeding Program

Thanks for reading!

It's supposed to be really good, I'm going to buy it when I have some extra money. I know of one person in the forum who has it and they love it.

What a small world! I'm pretty sure I follow you on IG loll. But Thanks. Hopefully I get someone who has it to reply. I've been dying to buy it I just would be very unhappy with myself if it turned out to be useless and I wasted the money you know?

I don't think it would be useless lol, I'm very excited for when I can finally buy it, they have seasonal chop mix recipes that I can't wait to try.

I have it and its awesome. There are soooooo many recipes in this book ou won't ever need another. I bought mine on amazon ( digital version).

Hehe! I'm on Instagram too! :D my username is - happypethouse! ;)

I've heard of the Bird Trick's natural feeding program, and have heard that its very good. I have training DVDs from Bird Tricks, its very good! So I think it won't be bad! :)

I'm skeptical of anything from Birdtricks. They are not certified trainers, but I know they mean the best.

I don't know about the recipe books, but the pellets are TOP's.

Totally Organics TOP Organic Bird Pellets

TOP's is an "off-shoot" from Foundation Formula pellets formerly produced by Chris Biro. (FF used to be made by the same two people, but they've separated, Chris stopped production of the pellets for the public, and the other started up TOP's)

If you want just the pellets, you can buy them cheaper elsewhere without the sales gimmick.

I am a new member on here and I did purchase there recipe books they are very good. I bought the PDF files and downloaded them. I would love to follow many of the recipes in the book. I am still hand feeding my baby so he will start off enjoying many different recipes, and will have no prejudice to seeds, etc. looking forward to starting off on a healthy diet.

Can anyone who has bought these books from birdtricks.com tell me how much they are? On their site it only shows the 30 day free trial but no price... Which makes me think its $$$

I will keep my opinion about Bird Tricks to my self. I will say that most of the recipes can be found online. I have seen it and NOTHING in it that can not be found for free with some looking and some research.

I have heard all about the mixed reviews and lots of opinions about the company but their feeding system looks to be good, that why I was asking. I was hoping it wasn't a bad sign that there was no price shown... Just the free trial...

from what I understand, the recipes they have come up with are their own invention.

they spent hundreds and hundreds of hours in their kitchen trying out their recipes on their own birds. their birds are fed the best of the best foods, but still have health issues.

One of their Macaws was doing a show one day, and they noticed her feathers underneath didn't look quite right. after examining her after the show, they took it to the vet.
Apparently after running tests, she was in the early stages of having kidney problems.

After putting this macaw on their special diet, and having it back repeatedly for more testing, her kidney problem has resolved itself.

They also had an african gray with some sort of health issue(I can't recall what exactly it was), and that too cleared up after feeding it their recipes.

I almost bought their book, but decided against it, for personal reasons.
I like some of what they do, they seem passionate enough, but tend to be too sales oriented.

It was their galah Bondi, and she was developing liver failure. Also all their female birds(Bondi and the grey cressi) had low calcium. What they did wrong was fill them up with apples all the time, after the vet visit they did a whole diet overhaul and within a month all their birds were perfectly healthy.

They did put a lot of work into this book. jaimileigh and Paddy worked on this together, hours and hours cooking and spoiling their fids. And they WORKED WITH VETS to make this product. They talked to multiple avian vets and worked closley with one to get their opinion on diet and what they thought they should be added or removed.

Of course it won't be perfect, some birds will benifit more than others. Eclectus parrots won't benifit as much because they require more fruit, but for most species this is a amazing product and will really benifit your birds.

In my opinion this cookbook is something that will benifit every parront, it's the only product really worth having, and the only item I haven't been dissapoonted of, from bird tricks.

I stand corrected Ashley, I heard that video about almost a year ago, and honestly thought it was one of their macaws...but I got most of it right, ha ha
