Parrots
Amy a Blue Front 'Zon
Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
… I have resigned myself into not arguing with him about his obsession with the Beebs  As you all may know, I have been experimenting/watching on how they interact, and I have realized that Amy just loves the little boy and would never harm him. I have had both sit on their X perch together,Amy sings and mumbles to him. He'll poof up and bob his head and try to regurg for BB.
Amy has let BB share his string cheese. Amy will hold it in his foot and nibble one end while BB noshes on the other end. When placed together,BB will wolf whistle and throw kisses at Amy. BB has let Amy preen his hat for a couple seconds. When Beebs has had enough,he just flies off to me. Amy used to be very protective of him. I couldn't even try to skritch Amy without him rearing his head and open his beak at me in an attempt to give me a good chomp, now BB can be on my arm as I skritch away at Amy and there is zero aggression shown, plus,Amy seems to be happier just hanging out with BB.
When Amy is on BB's roof he just plays with BB's toys and mumbles while BB is in his house chirping and chattering, showing not a lick of being afraid of Amy.

So...after 3.5 years Amy has gotten his way  I will not yell or chase him from BB's house anymore, but I will still keep a very close eye on both of them.
Ok Amy..I concede...you won! :28:

Did you ever think Amy would give up! Ha. Parrots have the strongest wills I have ever encountered. When they want something, they WANT IT.

I hear your hope but also feel a little of your lingering worry....but it sounds like Amy has gone out of his way to be a perfect gentleman & bestie to BB. The only other thing to make you feel truly comfortable is to (a) shrink Amy. A lot. or (b) time. So although it’s wise to remain vigilant I agree that Amy has earned your trust (errr...won)!

Its Amy's Way or No Way Jim !
Thats the Rule they sign us up to :)
Amazons always Rule hee hee :)
BB sounds like such a character too, great that they get on.
I know you will continue to keep an eye on them, but this match seems to be a very good one, a great friendship, and they are making a great team.
Sometimes animals and birds make the most unusual and unexpected friendships ....Enjoy your happy flock Jim and may Harmony always flourish <3

Last night it was more of the same. Amy,BB,and I in my room watching UFO stuff :D while David was watching the World Serious ( doesn't interest me now coz neither the Yankme's or BoSox aren't in it :( ) Both of 'em on the X perch ( I'm going to ask David if he'd make a bigger one, poor Beebs is a little cramped with the big green dino on it to) So I gave them both a Nutraberry..Amy held his but I had to hold Beebs because he either doesn't know how to or is just lazy  After Amy was done,he walked right over and tried to steal BB's berry from my hand! I then got a plate of warm scrambled egg and they both ate from the plate...like two Doggo's munching from the same bowl lol
All in all it went very good. When BB had enough of Amy's swooning he just flew to me. I can only imagine what would happen if Amy could fly also. Guess I'm lucky he can't!:p;)

That's such a cute story. I know someone that had an amazon housed with a cockatiel and they were best buds. :)
