- Amy a Blue Front 'Zon
Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(
And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
… I have resigned myself into not arguing with him about his obsession with the Beebs As you all may know, I have been experimenting/watching on how they interact, and I have realized that Amy just loves the little boy and would never harm him. I have had both sit on their X perch together,Amy sings and mumbles to him. He'll poof up and bob his head and try to regurg for BB.
Amy has let BB share his string cheese. Amy will hold it in his foot and nibble one end while BB noshes on the other end. When placed together,BB will wolf whistle and throw kisses at Amy. BB has let Amy preen his hat for a couple seconds. When Beebs has had enough,he just flies off to me. Amy used to be very protective of him. I couldn't even try to skritch Amy without him rearing his head and open his beak at me in an attempt to give me a good chomp, now BB can be on my arm as I skritch away at Amy and there is zero aggression shown, plus,Amy seems to be happier just hanging out with BB.
When Amy is on BB's roof he just plays with BB's toys and mumbles while BB is in his house chirping and chattering, showing not a lick of being afraid of Amy.
So...after 3.5 years Amy has gotten his way I will not yell or chase him from BB's house anymore, but I will still keep a very close eye on both of them.
Ok Amy..I concede...you won! :28:
