Parrots
Amy a Blue Front 'Zon
Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
Well I think you folks remember the problems BB has/was having with his poo..being all sorts of watery (too much urine?) and the bacterial infection he was being treated for.
His doc said it was prolly diet related, not getting the proper vitamins etc.
And I have had all sorts of problems getting him to eat the proper goodies.
He WOULD eat them, but only if they were from MY plate, and it is difficult for me to have the time to sit down and prepare something "good" for both of us.

Well...since I have made the muffin's for both of them..it's been what? a week now? He gets less than half of a muff, crumbled up in pieces, and put in his tidy bowl feeder, with the rest of his lunch/dinner.

I guess he is really noshing on the muffin pieces, and they are WORKING! :D He just took a healthy dump on my knee, and his poo was a good size of "green" with a spot of "white" in the middle, and very little wetness (urine) Next one I see I'll take a pic of it lol.
Looks to me,with all the goodies I put into these things,it was well worth the trouble. I'm having a good feeling about this!

I’m so happy Beebs is on the mend!

May the poo chronicles have a happy ending!

Glad it mostly was *just* diet related, so a little reforming of diet! Good that it's working out and BB is doing good.

Well today was the first time I noticed..I'll keep a closer eye on him,and his house papers and see..I certainly hope this was all it took. Makes me feel pretty good that IF this WAS the cure, and he is really eating his muffin's,I'll have no problems making him and Amy batch after batch ;)

Muffins are good! Tiels in particular are finicky about what's good to eat especially if not introduced early on.
Baby wasn't but now I grate carrots on his rice and offer Veggie Spaghetti with parsley sprinkled on.

You can try sprouts too for the very fussy birb! I tricked a rescue to eat sprouts after many years of bad diet by previous owners, by mixing dry seed with sprouts for 3 months. It took him two months to stop throwing the sprouts away because he didn't like the wet texture. But because they all looked the same , he kept trying them, until he finally gave in. :)

Seems as though sprouts are actually better for birds as well. I'm learning about sprouting and doesn't look that bad. Will have to try it out.

Only we know just how much joy can be had from having a bird healthily defecate on ones extremities. Gotta love a good bird poop!

I was just gonna say that lol

I only remarked to my other half this morning the same thing, when we both leaned in to inspect Remi's morning dropper to check how it was. Bwahaha!

But we're totally cool still. Definitely.
