owners of ringnecks- does that long tail ever get in the way of your parrot moving around in the cage, and do you have special ways to set up the cage so the tail doesn't become a burden?

I currently have my ringie in a 30x21 HQ flight cage. Been doing fine in it, tail wise. She's been in a smaller cage before as well as a larger, walk in aviary.
Definitely recommend at least a tall AND wide cage for them!
It depends on your bird too...
My IRN... doesn't care if anything touches the body or the tail. He'll sometimes sleep next to a toy touching him.
He'll just go through small places or sit there...
My alexandrine on the other hand hates anything touching her body or the tail.
So the cage setup is slightly different for the two
My IRNs tail has never been damaged... I feel he knows better than me... Hee hee hee.
PS: Do factor in the amount of time spent outside the cage as mine are out almost the whole day.
