i am the mom of three parrots:
Dorothy- African grey (cag)
Bowie- blue and gold macaw
Nellie- hyacinth macaw
Reggie- hyacinth macaw
Marnie- white bellied caique
I too decided to participate in the gift exchange and today I got a wonderful surprise in the mail! It was a box from My safe bird store sent by my secret gift exchange buddy-Parkers mom! I just want to say thank you if you see this before I get an email out to you!
It was addressed to Nigel however as I have informed him he will be sharing some of his bounty with his sisters! He got almonds, cinnamon sticks (which he loves!!), dehydrated kiwi, goofy links, a terrific foot toy which I have never seen before and it is sooo adorable1 two plastic ringy bells which he has played with non stop since I have given him one. (he loves to roll balls around, he just loves to toss them around and he is having so much fun with this ball & to top off all that he also got a huge toy filled with shreddable chunks and wooden pieces.
What a terrific surprise oh of course we also got the surprise that is put in all msbs boxes, candy and foot toys!(Mabel is currently playing with one of these!
Thank you Heather!

Speaking of that, has anyone heard from GinaF lately? do i not travel in the same circles?

Not a word, Capt. :( I've been meaning to give her a call, but stuff keeps happening this week that's been preventing me to.

I know her son has heart problems and needs another surgery. She also mentioned moving to Alaska, but I don't know when.

I've got her # somewhere, we should check in.

BTW the kiwi is delish.. when ever i give some to my fids I always sneak a taste..lol
you are welcome

That's so funny, my husband asked if he could try some! I told him not yet! Thanks again!!

That's awesome :D you'll have to get some pics of the fids with their new toys :D

I love the gift exchange idea, I hope we continue to do this in the future

What an awesome box! I'd love to participate next year:)

let me know how the ball toys work out...Juno loves the balls but I was worried about the bells..I didn't see in the description that they had them or I would have picked something else...Parker has always loved the natural stuff on the toys and all my fids enjoy the kiwi

I put the ball on the floor and he is rolling and throwing the ball all over. He picked it up and carried it around and looked so pleased with himself! I'm excited to open the kiwi and give it to them tomorrow. Mabel is just trying to try foods so I think she will be excited by this. Dorothy will be so happy about the almonds, usually I have to crack the shells for her. She's a bit of a spoiled little prima Dona! Lol

Juno likes the little wiffle balls...she will pick them up and carry them all over the cage...including putting them in her water bowl...
