Thank you so much for sharing this, Katie! I'm going to check in with Jolly and Maya's vet about this. If this news is what it appears to be, I will be overjoyed!

I've come to loathe this disease, ever since it took my Bixby away earlier this year. A vaccine would mean other parronts wouldn't have to go through what I, and so many others, were forced to when taking home a baby bird born with that devastating disease. Other parrots who might have been doomed to a tragically short and ailment prone life will now have the chance to live long and happy lives.

I know that even if they do have this vaccine, we're still likely years away from approval and distribution, but that's still a heck of a lot closer than we thought we were yesterday.

I'll take it.

That would be wonderful. Too many of us have lost birds to this far too common disease.
