Has anyone got any idea how to tell what age a sun conure is.
In regards to the attached photo the bird is up for sale they have put up that he is 16 weeks old.

I Donno but my conure is about 7 months old and doesn't have that much yellow

What are your thoughts and is there I way I can tell if she's a baby or not?:orange:

No way in hell!!!

That bird has its full adult colors... baby suns do not have that much yellow on the wings, and they have green spots on their heads.

That bird is probably a year old or more.

Definitely not 16 weeks old. At least 12 months old. If it was 16 weeks it would have a lot of green. The wings look clipped too.

I could believe 16 MONTHS old (even that seems like a bit of a stretch)... but it would be impossible for that bird to be 16 weeks old.

My 8 month old sun has a ton of green still on the wings. That looks like 2+ year colors to me.

My sun is a yr old and has yellow wings like that. But they weren't that way as a baby

Not that you need more of the same response but:
That sun conure is absolutely, without a doubt, much older than 16 weeks.
