Tegu attack in field...anyone see similar behav?

A #Tegu once attacked a co-worker of mine, while we were in Venezuela..anyone ever run across this? Story here Notes from the Field

At the Bx Zoo I've worked with elephants, king cobras, tigers - but always carried a garbage can lid as a shield when I entered the exhibit of on very territorial male tegu!
