My teachers son had a peach faced love bird. He kept it in the house until he got a job at a wild life refuge on long island. He talked with his family and they asked him if they could move him to the wildlife refuge, they'd said it was better because nobody was home for most of the day and it could be with him while he working. Last week the lovebird died. While he was working the love bird was pecking and trying to chew his shoe. He apparently didnt notice that the bird was in front of his shoe as he took a step, he stepped on the poor birdie. The bird was 12 years old. Thoughts on this would be appreciated.
