talking

Not all birds talk.
I don't know anything about irn's but my roommate had an African grey from days old and he never spoke.

Mahmou2d.12, I think what Doublete was trying to say is that some birds will not talk no matter what you do. Some just do and others just don't. Some may seem more interested in human speech while others don't. All you can do is talk to your bird. Do it all the time and in context. If he's going to talk, he will. If not, well then no harm done because at least your bird will enjoy the company and being talked to. I have a sun conure and although they are not known to be great talkers, Lemon says "step up", makes kissing noises, and laughs along with us when we laugh. He has recently picked up the word "hi". However, I did not expect him to say anything but what I do notice is that when he is being talked to he will often make many cooing, grunting, and chirpy noises which tells me he is happy:) IRN are known to be better talkers than sun conures in general, but like I said, there is no guarantee he will say anything. So, talk to you bird and if he talks, GREAT! If not, well at least I'm sure he will enjoy it. I hope that helps answer your question:)

i think my bird is happy and listens to the word yupi because when he hear it he will look aroung and make his eyes pretty small i dont know if thats a sign of trying to talk or what ! so can you tell me Kalel

Eyes getting small is called pinning and birds do it when excited. So, yeah maybe he is happy to hear your voice:)

No. All parrots pin when they're excited or upset. It's parrot body language.
