I figured this would be a nice thread were we could talk about our non-feathered pets. Their personalities, stories, photo, etc.:)

I'll start off:

Cookie is my longhaired calico cat. :D We got her from my dad's coworker who didn't spay another calico they had. I'm guessing they had another cat, but she had kitties and they were threatening to throw out the remaining cats onto the street if no one bought them. LUCKILY, everyone found a good home. We got Cookie at 3 months old and have had her for around 6 years. She turned 6 on November 18th.

Now, the photos:

I have a two year old cavalier King Charles spaniel call Lucky. I got him at pet paradise when he was 10 weeks old. He was the most adorable cavalier I have ever seen, I actually was going to get a toy poodle, but when I saw him at the pet store, I changed my mind. He has being a very naughty boy since day 1, the first thing he did when he got to his new home was that he decide that my bedroom was be the first place to mark his territory.

Lucky enjoys going for walks and meeting new friends. One of his fav thing is to eat. Lol. He loves his food (I feed him wellness super five mix), he is always waiting at the kitchen for his dinner at 4:00 pm. :D

Lucky loves playing with Ozzie my alexandrine parakeet. He have no problem with any of my parrots, he is always very gentle when around them. Once I found Ozzie laying on Lucky's back sleeping. They are best friend. :)

Here's some photos

OMG HE IS ADORABLE!!!! :D :D Spaniels are so cute! :D And him in a bandana OMG.

Klaatu!!!!! :p My clydesdale cross thoroughbred! I got him in May 2012, after looking for a horse since january... It was a tough request- black, 16hh+, no more than 3 years old, MUST be a boy, and clydesdale or PART clydesdale :p
Finally i got an email from a lady in response to my ad and said she said she had the perfect horse for me!
I love him soooo much, he is just like a big dog !

He is rising 3, no idea when his actual birthday is! :(
16hh already and he might reach close to 17hh *fingers crossed* :p

Picture of him just before may-

and then in october 2012.. he grew so much just in those few months, but still has SO much growing to do!

What's an hh? :p Count on me to no absolutely nothing about horses haha. Klaatu is so precious. ::D

hahaha! hh means hands... so a little miniture pony is about 8hh... meaning they are 8 hand widths from the floor to their withers (back)..

the tallest horse is like 23hh i think ;) GIANT :p

the average size horse is 15hh.. 16hh is considered pretty big i think :)

Oh and as much as i love him, he has caused me sooo much stress and crying... :p
He manages to get caught in fences.. once he got caught,,, pulled the WHOLE line of wire off, ran around the paddock, cleared a fence (while being caught still) then ran into a gate, then cleared another fence, managed to get loose off the wire, and came out with just a few scratches.... i could not stop shaking and crying :p
Another time he just cleared his fence because there was a storm, didnt have a scratch on him :p

so, when he came back from the trainers, he got an electric fence, so he never goes near the fence now...
yesterday.. i was taking him to his eat paddock and SOMEHOW got caught on the fence... ripped his new rug and then started running around freaking out over his rug dangling on his belly -.-

I have several dogs - This one is Toby. He was saved from a dog fighting ring in New York. He was a mess when he was found, but he has turned into a sweet loving boy, and he gets along with my other dogs, including another pit bull. He's a lover, not a fighter!

Here is Charlie, my heart and soul. He was adopted from the Harrisburg (PA) Humane Society

Here's Deuce posing for his Christmas portrait. Deuce is a rescue dog that has some fairly significant issues with strangers, so he will stay with me.

And here is my Siberian husky, Spirit. He was adopted from the Richmond City (VA) animal shelter.

I also have several bunny rabbits. Here are two of them.
First is Micah--He's a Flemish giant.

You guys are making ,e want more animals!!! :D (Except the bee's!) LOL Cookie is on my neck and stomach right now and will NOT get off. Cuddle bug. :p

I dont have any other Pets to talk about I'm afraid... I only have Codie :)

I used to have a Cat, but she sadly died :(

I have a 16.2 hand mahogany bay thoroughbred rescue mare named Calista (one hand is 4 inches). I part own (with my mom) a 15.1 hand haflinger gelding named Hylander. I also part own (with a friend) a 14.3 hand haflinger cross gelding in training. He was rescued at an auction and is for sale to the right small adult or kid. (a gelding is a castrated male horse. A mare is a female horse) I use to have several other horses, but I moved across country for my PhD and had to find other homes for them. Im currently saving to have my thoroughbred moved out to me. Ive found a farm, but I want to make sure Im ready for her. I lost my 14 year old female dalmatian Sophie in September and Im not yet "over it". I honestly may never be able to have another dog after losing her. I helped my parents find their male Newfoundland dog, and although I dont live there anymore I consider him part of my family. I also have a female rescue chinchilla named Gidget. I use to have two male cats that were born to a cat that lived at the feed store where I worked. She "ran off" (was not cared for by her owners) and I took the kittens and hand fed them. My sisters fell in love with the two that I kept, so I left them with my parents when I moved. Still my cats I guess, but if you ask my sisters I have no claim to them.

The pics show from left to right: Hylander, Gidget playing under the Christmas tress, Callie and I, Callie, and Sophie wearing a pig sweater (she lost most of her hair in her old age and couldnt keep warm without a little help)

I'm so sorry for you two's losses. :( I've lost more pets than I honestly want to think about, it's always hard losing a family member, furry, feathered, scaled, or not.

I have a six year old, 17 HH Anglo-Arabian gelding, named Oz. He is the coolest dude on the farm and a die hard cutie to boot.

Here he is as a two year old, I would have to dig for recent photos:

My fiance and I together have a pug, Winston, and a Plot Hound, Lucile.

I have 2 dogs. Oscar, the American Bulldog and Ziva, the AmBull Pit Mix. Oscar is 3 and Ziva 2. They love each other with SUCH passion, even spoon at night. No kidding! But when they play, they play hard. No biting, but lots of running, jumping, hurdling, teeth clacking, grass flying, tongues hanging. :D

I excercise them daily, as a tired Bulldog is a good Bulldog.

Pictures.... :)
