Take my bird to lunch.

I prefer not to but we have done it once in the last two years, and that was right after the flying incidence. Dont want him to end up in a neighbors house with dogs. My cockatiel flew off into one of the neighbors and it took us 4 hrs to find him. Only reason we found him was because several dogs had spotted him on a tree and were barking at him and we could hear him chirping.

Pwr wrx, That would be fun. We are not around now until just before Christmas as we travel for our business until then. Maybe after that. Good luck with the harness. I bought one too, but Sunny and I don't see eye to eye about it. She has yet to wear it. LOL. Sunny is not clipped, but she is clueless on how to fly.

Cute! I am not in Texas, but I found a lot of restaurants with outdoor seating, and took Puck to lots of them. I stuffed him in my sweater a lot (can't do that with a big macaw though) to go in stores that didn't allow pets. They loooooved him at the hardware store!

Oh how i'd love to take my littles ones to the shop with me! Scottie would actually be really good about it, he goes out for walks with us every now and again, but sicne he started flying propperly i'm not so keen to take him out - a lot of trees around!! i'm trying to get him to wear his harnass but he does NOT like it one bit... maybe i bought the wrong colour and he feels it doesn't go well with his green and blue featheres? :p Sunny is absolutely stunnging though! she really landed well with you guys as a family! :)

Im going to keep trying to get him used to it. The second he sees it he runs off. Ill keep it around his cage so he knows it's nothing scary n gets used to it.

Brianlinkles, I don't know where Oakwood is but we do spend a month in Columbus every October. Here is Sunny running the show as usual at the Ohio State fairgrounds last fall.

By chance are you at QH Congress? Do you ever get to Penn National Horse Show in Harrisburg, PA? I would love to know to look for the macaw . . .

Birdy and I are regulars for lunch at this location. I hide him using his natural camouflage to stop people from disturbing our meal. :D

KBEquine, here is Sunny a couple of days ago at our booth in Congress Hall. We have never done any shows in Pennsylvania.
