Sympathetic chewing

I don’t know why Merlin does this but it happens frequently.
I had given Bingo a bit of unsweetened apple sauce and Merlin had to see what he was eating.
I also don’t understand how it is that Bingo lets Merlin get away with it.

It looks like Bingo is comfortable in his territory. Merlin is examining the food for hiis birdie reasons. Kinda cute watching this. They're both beautiful.
