So I have been working 6pm to 6am since I've had sydney (my U2) and I'm on 12pm to 12am for 3 months now.. my parents are at home a lot but they've said the past two days he's been pretty bad with all the screaming.. he's used to being out of the cage from 12 to 4 and apparently he's been sitting in his cage whinning. Its only the 2nd day but I'm already worried. I try and get up early to have some time with him but its really hard and I don't want him to get used to being out in the morninga for when I go back ro 3rd shift. .
Help???

I feel bad ,unless your parents can help .I dont know the answer .Having 2s I know this isnt good . Good luck

He seemed so happy to spend time with me today.. its so funny how he will put his head up against my chest when I'm holding him lol. I really hope he adjusts to my schedule but he'll just have to go back to his normal one in three months

i believe in a matter of time he will adjust. At the moment he is just unsure what is happening and needs his time to settle in to the new routine. It may take him some time for this to happen, but im sure he will be fine:).

fishstick600 sorry to hear of your problem. I was wondering do you think it would help to take your bird out of his cage at different times for awhile instead of trying to take him the same time everyday. Birds are creatures of habit and will get used to and expect the same routine time out everyday. But if you take him out at different times during your time off he may learn that he can get out at different times and not always the same routine. Good luck!
