Had my 2 birds for about 3 years. They didn't eat any fruit or veg for at least the first 2 years. Now they eat fresh herbs and kale every day. They will occasionally pick at carrot or broccoli but not sure if they actually eat it or just like to shred it. Would it be ok to add in Avipro once a week..??

Absolutely

if they're not on pellets, I would it is safe. :) I used Prime some years ago, before I even heard of pellets.

Thank you. Would 1 day a week be enough? I have tried them with harrisons, tops and roudybush, on and off for 3 years, still no luck

In general, supplements are for when your certified avian vet feels there is a need for them, as like with anything , too much of a good thing is bad. Once a week is likely not bad. Everyday might be. The thing with supplements is you are never sure about exactly how much they are actually ingesting.

Keep working on the veggies, which are the best thing they could eat, and try all sorts. Or go with a 'chop' type offering. I use roughly 15 different ingredients, put most thru a food processer, bag it in 3 day amounts in baggies and freeze them. Thaw a bag in the fridge and mix with ground up pellets or nutraberries to absorb the moisture. Took a long time before my 'zon recognized it as food but he loves it now.

I give my birds a vitamin supplement (in their water)once a week however i give them vegetables almost every day and sprouts 2 or 3 times a week. Their base diet is seed, avicakes and nutriberries. I also give them a calcium supplement once a week.
Whatever brand of vitamin supplement you decide to give, see what the instructions say or call the manufacturer.

I've been offering fruit/veg at least 2 days a week for at least 3 years. Used ti try every day but cut it down because they had never eaten it. I mostly offered it as chop. It's only since I started hanging it on their perch in bug pieces, they have started to go near it although most or all does ho on the ground so I'm not sure if they are eating any or just like tearing it up. One of them do look like he trys to eat it but can't get breaking it up. They also don't like nutriberries

Thank you. Yeah the one I bought is put in their water. Tried today for the first time and going to stick to it once a week. Mine also get calcivet supplement in their water once a week. Mine don't even touch nutriberries, they only eat seed. Even trying different seed mixes, they will refuse to eat them...so fussy
