Maggie - Blue Crown Conure
My sun conure is about 7 months old and today started loving on this toy.

Planet Pleasures Spiked Pinata Sm, Med, Lg & XLg - PLANET PLEASURES by MY SAFE BIRD STORE

Is this because it looks like her? She preens it, lays her head and foot next to it, and rubs her head on it with her eyes half closed. She comes out of her cage several hours a day. She gives kisses, loves people but this makes me sad. It makes her seem lonely. Is this normal? I just put this toy in her cage yesterday when I rearranged everything in it. She hasn't sat there all day doing that just on and off. I just want to make sure this isn't upsetting her and whether I should take it out? Thanks.:orange:

I wouldn't worry, she obviously likes it! I used to have a Conure that did this with her Snuggle Hut.

I would leave it in there:)

Birds will naturally preen things, and they explore with their beaks like we do with our hands. Sometimes they rub on toys and perches to satisfy an itch or because of their pin feathers.
The only time you should sort of worry is if they're not playing with their toys. So she obviously likes it and isn't causing any stress. :]
