Sun Conure
:orange: Cosmo my sun conure well he is naughty and won't eat his veggies. He absolutely loves fruit and he always eats his pellets but a avian told me he needs to eat far less fruit and plenty more veg. He nibbles here and there at carrot and cherry tomatoes but really isn't eating much of it. I've read about people making birdy bread. Adding a lot of veggies to it slowly substituting more and more veggies rather then the other ingredients. Could someone help me with a healthy recipe?

This thread has a great recipe.

Most of the recipes you'll find use Jiffy corn muffin mix which I don't think we have in Australia (not that I've looked TOO hard for it!!!) but this one doesn't. If you read further down in the thread someone has added more veggies to the original recipe posted. I imagine you could grate or purée anything to add!
Hope that helps! :)

Corn meal is fine. I think that the gluten in flour is not great for them so I'd avoid that. I am not sure about how often you can feed him the bread. It shouldn't contain anything that would be considered 'junk food' but you'd still need pellets and I'd keep offering fresh foods to try and get him used to them! I'm sure some other, more experienced members could give you more info on frequency etc...
Good luck! :)

If you have a juice try juicing veggies with a little fruit. That worked for me with my first conure. Also many conures seem to like shredded carrots. Hope this helps!

My bird hates pellets and veggies too. Loves seeds and fruit! We're working on switching him over by mixing pellets with fruit (he'll eat it if it has a little fruit juice on it) and grinding them and making a paste when we then coat his seeds in. Slowly but surely...
