So I have been introducing him to the aviator harness for about a week now and he finally seemed ready for having me put it on. It wasn't hard to get on really he just wanted to chew it as it went on lol he wasn't stressed hardly at all! We just wore it around the house for a couple hours and then I took him outside it was the perfect day for it! Its been rainy so much lately and we got one sunny, hot, calm day perfect time to take him out and he loved it! I'm so glad the harness worked out well for him he liked being out so much but he wouldn't leave me I tried to put him on a perch outside and he just crawled right back up my arm made me happy :)

Great pictures! I have an aviator too and love mine! It's great to take them outside isn't it?

He looks so excited :D Thanks for sharing the pictures, he is cute.

It's great to see people (and birds) having a lot of success with the harness. Did he seem uncomfortable at any point when he had it on? Also how long long did it take you to put the harness on and off him?

Glad to see another success! I'm training my two GCCs at the moment. :)

@ Peeker, It is great to have him outside!!

@ BoomBoom, I had been over the course of a week just petting him and scratching him all over with the harness first on my hand then scratching him with the harness and draping it over him as I gave him almonds as treats and then putting it halfway on and then taking it off first over his beak then over his head and finally all the way on, He seemed uncomfortable after a minute but at first he did try chewing it just a little not like really trying to get it off and he fluffed up his feathers a lot but after a miute he didn't mind it on him at all really :D

@ConureCrazy, good luck with it!! I love it!

I love seeing birds using their aviator harness's, it means one less bird able to fly away on accident, and only by human error.

That looks like a PERFECT fit for him! He looks very safe and comfortable in that.

Yay! That must of being so exciting! Sugar looks so happy, I love when people take their parrots outside with a harness, since there will be much less chance of accidents.

And lovely photos! Thanks for sharing! :)

Thank you so much for this post. I have a 5 month old Conure. I have been looking at this harness for spring/summer so Buddie can go outside with me.
We camp and boat, I am also looking at a smaller cage for the boat and camping.
I just hate leaving him to go shopping, much less loose the time with him this summer. He sits on a perch looking outside.

@ Buddies_mommy, sounds like your bird is going to have a very fun time this summer and you too!! I read a lot of things before I got this harness cause I wanted to make sure it was the best as there are a lot out there. I never tried a different one but I really like this one and I'm glad I chose it over others :)
