My bird likes grapes :D I am happy with this because he has yet to try any fruit so i am hoping this will help him get into different fruits.

That's great that he likes them, I find that if I take a bite of something first ,then my birds are more likely to want to try it : )

Lol, that is what i did, then i gave him my half so he could taste the inside first instead of just the skin.

LOL, that's exactly how I got Loki to finally try any fruit (which, was also grapes! :D Pretty popular). I took a bite and then the grape was in half and he discovered the juice. Now they're his favorite thing.

YAY!! Congrats on getting him to finally eat fruit!! Baby steps ;)

by the way, how many grapes a day is too many?

I usually just slice up a couple for crackers and put it in with her apples and bananas in her fruit bowl.

yeah, roco would not touch any of the carrots or various berries i tried giving him.

Congrats I wish my Isoke(CAG) Would try something other than sweet potatoes LOL

Crackers likes her grapes cut in half, long ways and her apples in little wedges. I use to cut her stuff up real tiny but found out she ate it better when I left it bigger.

^^ that is very important. I kept thinking small bird, small pieces. Then I discovered he wasn't eating the things I was giving him because he couldn't hold the pieces, even though his pellets are teeny tiny. Weird.

For apples, I cut them in to quarters, then take his quarter and slice in long ways, then cut those slices in half. That works best for Loki.

I heard the skin of the grapes is no good for them, is this not true? I've been skinning grapes :p

Forrest always eats the center and leaves the skin anyway, of course he does that with everything including red peppers.

I've never heard this. I've been giving Loki grapes with the skin on for the better part of a year. How on earth do you skin a grape and keep it even remotely intact?? Loki nibbles in the skin just a tiny amount, usually when he's trying to make sure he's gotten all the flesh. Then he drops them.

I remember not long ago someone was told apple peels were bad too. They're not.

Crackers skins her peppers, grapes and apples on her own...she then throws all little skin pieces on the floor :20:
