:rainbow1:Finally Success!!! We have been battling hormones and a very unwilling bird at bedtime for over a month now. Yes its been like having a little new born baby in our house for far too long and we were losing hope but finally we have success and everyone here is now able to sleep through the night. Yay!!!!!!!!!
Our persistance finally paid off. We were sticking with a bed time, bringing her in our room covered, and transitioning her to a pellet diet to what seemed like a losing battle but with a few more successful nights than others and then buying her a sleeper cage we have found the winning solution. She seems to like her small cage for bed time and I started putting her in our closet with a fan outside the door and this is the winning combination. I was actually worried that she was not okay until this morning when I opened up the door and took off the cover. I think she may be feeling like a new bird today after finally getting the full amount of sleep that she needs.
Wow! Feeling blessed today!

I am so happy that you found a solution to her bed time problem:) How big a closet do you have? Mine is so small I don't think I could even fit a small cage in there.
A good nights sleep sounds like a winning situation for you all:)

Our closet is a two sided closet and I have room to push my stuff aside and put her small cage on a stand I put in there. I leave the other side of the closet open for air and still cover her cage. It has been a miracle as she is extremely reactive to any noise. Her hormones are still a work in progress though but at least we are all sleeping and she seems a little calmer now that she is getting the right amount of sleep.
I have a new concern though. She seems to be desperately looking for a dark place and I think I'm even noticing a small bulge down by her vent. We have been trying everything to calm her hormones from putting more pellets in her diet as well as veggies, careful petting not to touch her wings and underside, and rearanging her cage. At this point do I allow her to go ahead and lay an egg and if she does what do I do to keep her from laying more?

Congratulations on the milestone!
