Success! Cinn GCC nest!

Oldest LOVED having his cheeks & under his neck rubbed, he even sat with his head puffed up and eyes closed after I stopped so I HAD to continue....lol, the rest either just like it or tolerate it at this point.

The group "dog piles" and preens each other. I just call it my blob of cuteness :D

All of these beautiful babies, you guys are a bad influence on me. It makes me want to dive into the baby thing. For right now Merlin & I are happy w/a one bird household.

I LOVE this time with my babies, they're crazy & just learning that they're able to interact with me.

Baby #3 had been so scared when I first took him from his parents. The other day, it was like someone flipped the light bulb on in his head. I was feeding him and bent down and kissed him, he seemed totally shocked! Then he cried and begged for food directly from me (vs the syringe) & since then has puffed up when I rub his head :D

Baby #2 is the only one who dislikes head rubbing. Hoping I can convince him otherwise soon!

More pictures to come!

That is so precious! Update us with pics as they continue to grow, please = )

They look so different already. This is the group preening, note the youngest on the bottom who kept cheeping happily for the entire photo shoot :D

Thats awesome seeing the pictures grow from (no offence) the ugly ducklings into complete beauties, must be exciting seeing all the colours come through, but i guess its hard to notice when you spend everyday with them. you should be proud :)

LoL yea they are ugly dinosaurs & are now becoming beautiful conures.

Actually, especially during the first couple of weeks, I was always completely shocked by their appearance. After they hatch, they almost double in size the next day. From there it is still a quick process :)

Been crazy busy with work & trying to buy a house. Babies are looking great, all but youngest ate kiwi, green grapes, yellow peppers & parsley last night.

Wondering if my Suns are trying to lay....hoping not as we may be moving next week.

I'll try to add more pictures later :D

Haha, I just laughed our loud a bit when you said the bottom bird was cheeping happily the whole time. The photo of the youngest on the bottom being squished is hilarious. They are so cute, thanks for sharing all these pics, this is a great thread :)

Adz- I had to laugh while I took the pictures. 4th is constantly cheeping happily, but especially when he is dog-piled on for some reason!

Today was a new adventure, I finally put them in a large cage.

YUMMY grapes:

They're soooo cute!!!!!! :)

Thanks :)

So proud of my little monsters. They LOVEEEEE grapes. I got chirped-out for taking away a grape too early yesterday lol. All but youngest are eating fresh food, and we're down to 2 feedings a day. It will probably be 1 feeding soon as the oldest barely ate & 2nd had NONE despite multiple attempts. They're growing up so fast!

On another note....naughty daddy Cricket had us cracking up. He has learned to be a potty mouth from me.....every morning I whisper this and now he proudly says this, but only when I'm feeding the babies:

"SHUT the (insert bad word) UP"

Followed by his evil laugh since we can't help but crack up! NAUGHTY bird!

Oooo so cute! Baby pineapple has lots of red coming in!

Dang....wondering if the 533 reviews are all me (LoL). Cute monsters are now kamikaze pilots.....diving and knocking everything over!

Yeah it's funny how they love stacks on, I think they feel secure. I know Loco loves being held firmly or hiding under my hand all squished too.

We played "helicopter" last night, the 3 oldest kept flying between me and my other half. They are EXCELLENT fliers already, hovering in the air when they wish. All are capable of using the entire cage finally, they're growing up so fast!

I'll try to take more pictures today!

FINAL update:

#1 (first babe born) went to my coworker. She'll (probably a she) be spoiled rotten & already has a massive cage. She was my fav baby & I might have kept but since the parents are being friendly again I'll see all babies get great homes.

Other babies are eating fruits & veggies like crazy. They rarely ever leave anything uneaten. I've placed them on ebay classifieds, but I'll probably do the local paper after today.

Haven't gotten to spend as much time with them as my large dog is severely sick with Valley Fever. Thank GOODNESS that birds do not seem to get this NASTY disease.

I love talking about GCC's & am always open to Q's or suggestions especially on breeding. Mine won't be back to "business" till at least the fall, a nice break for the parents & me.
