I just have to write it down or it will evaporate.
I had a dream I was trying to walk to the mall.
during the trip I ended up in a maze of small streets and culdasacks .
I started cutting through yards and even walking through houses to get to a main thoroughfare.
Eventually I entered a house where the people were present and they had parrots.
First it was a couple of budgies . They sat on my finger and were very friendly.
I asked if they had any bigger birds and they started bringing out larger birds.
They were all friendly with me including a macaw, I cant recall the species.
I tried to show the people in the house pictures of my flock on my phone.
No matter how I treat I couldn’t bring up pictures to share.
Then I woke up.

A happy dream if all of the birds were friendly and liked you! But… I hate dreams where I can’t get my phone to work 🤦‍♀️.

Yup a very happy dream. Sadly when I have dreams like that, I've over slept. Her royal feathered highness is having a tantrum. Her chop will be late! And ugh...she'll have to eat a few pellets till it arrives!

I frequently have recurring dreams that I'm in several apartments with multiple birds, pet mice, and pet rats. There are fewer rats and mice (they've usually died) but more cockatiels lately in these dreams. I bring my birds from one apartment to another, and I can't find Redshift. Oh God, that turns into a nightmare then. There are a lot of worries in those dreams! I have so many birds, but no one understands that I don't have as many as I have. It's like I forget I only have 3 birds in reality and not 13. Oy.

I have a recurring nightmare about parrots, I've had it 3-4 times. In it, I have parrots in cages all over the house, literally. And not housed so great with too many birds in one cage. In the dream, I dont recall feeding any of them and they start to get sick and die. And when I start searching for Salty, I can't find him in any of the cages. Its a true nightmare. Last times when I woke up, I got up and checked on Salty, woke him up and all, to make sure he was OK. I Fuqing hate this dream! I haven't had it in a while, which means that I will probably dream it again tonight. Ugh.

That's a really sh**y anxiety dream! I've had similar dreams and they're so upsetting!

Me too cages to full of too many parrots.
Not recently fed or cleaned.
Must be related to the psychology and mindset of those attracted to birds and bird keeping

My CAG must be aware of this thread. She woke me up at regular time 0430. She then let me put dog out and go back to sleep. I woke up 4 hours later! I could hear her talking softly. It was best extra nap ever. So she got raw pistachios and nutriberries with her chop. Yes it was 0830 before dog got let in! She's made up for that quiet time too.

Had another bird/parrot dream this morning.

I was driving home (from work?) and I ended up on a small residential street.
The trash was all set out for pickup and I saw a cage that was fully covered by a sheet.
I knew it was a cage and I thought there might be a bird in it because of the cover.
Of course I stopped and uncovered the cage to find a small bird that looked sick.
Feathers messed up and poop stuck to its bottom.

I had to take it home but all the problems of isolation and quarantine were going through my head.
Then I woke up.

Not sure what kind of bird canary or budgie, something small.

Oooooh! I had a dream about a mysterious bird (Silverbolt? Mindwipe? It was female) and Air Raid. They were some of my first cockatiels. They were out on my shoulders, and I had to capture them because they were outside. But as I walked home, they kept shrinking until they were smaller than Zebra Finches. I told them I'm sorry for not having an aviary and that we were home. Then I woke up, when I saw my maaany cages with Maaaany (Too many to legally have in an apartment) birds.

I have never had a good dream about Teeko. Lol. Its always been a nightmare and sweats. And, I think it stems from us as parrot owners having that worry in the back of our minds. They are so fragile..and, when we sleep our brain wants to torture us. And, make us even more aware owners. Maybe one day ill have a dream about me and teeko, actually surviving 😆

my mom has dreamed that Pebbles got strangled with the curtain line, and several times that she starved. I have had frantic dreams of her getting hurt and starving her.... also one where she was swimming in the pool🤣

My husband loves our birds dearly and frequently awakens, confused, asking if they are okay. He sleeps so much better than I do, so I always have to assure him that they're all safe asleep in their cages.

A weird parrot dream this morning. I didn't remember it until a few minutes ago. The dream was real, color, sound etc. My CAG, Nameliss yelled at me. I looked up and she was at her chop stop. Nameliss said she wanted cheese. She refused the pepper jack I had in fridge. She wanted genuine Philadelphia cream cheese on triscuits. I objected. I didn't have triscuits or cream cheese. I didn't want to go to the store. I told her that she couldn't have the cheese. I reminded her that she never got cheese. Nameliss proceeded to beg, plead. I reluctantly agreed to consider it. In my dream lights were on, I was sitting preparing to turn computer on. I woke up to dark and confusion. I couldn't understand why Nameliss wanted genuine Philadelphia cream cheese. She was specific about it. I know she'll do anything for a triscuit. Well a few minutes ago I went to fridge and saw reminder. Yup out of Philadelphia cream cheese. My subconscious was trying to remind me to go to store. I didn't listen.
