Strange Behavior

I wouldn't recommend feeding meet more than 2-3 times a month... too much protein can be bad for parrots. Or perhaps feed eggs a couple times a week?

Would recommend more vegetables and less fruits. What about healthy grains and legumes as well? Cooked or sprouted.

Could you elaborate on the Grains and Legumes a bit? I am not really sure my options and what I can/should feed them.

No, that is great! I do happen to have some Lentils at home I believe so I will try them tonight.

My next questions is about the vegitables that Reptar will eat. So far, she will devour peas and corn, and throw everything else on the ground. Is it ok that all she eats is peas and corn? Will it harm her if that is the only vegitable she eats and if so, how do I get her to eat others?

Ideally, no that's not good long term.

Could it be the size of the peas and corn? Or perhaps the color? Might try chopping/dicing up vegetables to be about the same size as the peas and corn? Maybe mixing the vegetables?

Fresh vegetables are best, just make sure you thoroughly rinse/clean them before feeding.

My Amazon LOVES anything that has corn in it. This means I can make a chop--boil various lentils/garbanzos/beans, then add rice until it's cooked, then take it off the stove to cool and stir in finely chopped up raw kale, broccoli, carrots, red peppers, jalapeno peppers, and lots of frozen CORN and PEAS. The stirring together with the still-hot beans and rice is enough to thaw the corn and peas. Then I add some extra red pepper flakes. I freeze this mix in single-serving baggies so I can grab and thaw easily on a busy day. All the birds love it, as long as it is colorful. They definitely eat the corn first, but then they seem to figure they might as well eat the rest, too.
