still cant upload photos

ive followed the steps of the sticky to no avail. ive uploaded my photos to my album, opened one up, clicked copy image... all good so far, gone on to my 'post new thread' paste... nothing!

finally thought id be posting pictures but it seems someone/something greater than myself is against me.

any ideas?

im using a pc with windows 7, no mac no linux, just plain old windows lol

if anybody is in the know could you also help me with profile picture? i just cant get the size and quality, it seems near impossible, or when i do manage it ridiculously small and blurry, and then i see some people have huge hd photos? lol. starting to get a tad frustrating

If you are using the forum to upload pictures, then you should be able to click the forum picture code which is underneath the picture... it should say BB code? and paste it.. Not actually copying the picture :)


It is alot easier just to use photobucket, upload the picture, then place the [img] code :) Will make the pictures large sized and easy to view

Also when you make a signature, if you use the forum to upload it, then it will make the picture very small, because it has a max size...

So once again use photobucket, and paste the img link in the signature box and you will have it whatever size you want

photobucket worked a treat, finally managed to get some up to date photos on, thanks a lot for your help :)

still having no luck with a profile picture, got it into the sizes specified and it just said...

Are you trying to upload directly from your computer or pasting the image link from photobucket??

And is this for your profile pic or avatar pic?

So I was playing around with my profile picture, and if I tried to use the "IMG" photobucket link it wouldn't work....but using the "direct" link does- it needs to start out with http:// or it won't work

(same thing for the avatar picture)

just tried every size down to 100 x 75 wendy (which should be the one) upload of file failed. it shows it me in my usercp.

somethings just aren't meant to be! haha

If you're using photobucket to host your picture there's no need to upload it as well....is this where you're plugging in the image link?
