Hello guys! I made a video of out Squawk Box this month because I know lots of people wonder what comes in them. I also did a very small cage/tree tour including the office tree. I would like to note my birdies are in bed right now and that's why they aren't in the video.

Nice! I subscribed starting last month (size small) and I was very pleased with the first one. We havenā€™t received the February box yet but Iā€™m looking forward to it!

I have looked into Squakbox and I have a question or three for you since you'll give me an honest answer. Are the toys they send generally safe? I'm a bit nervous getting toys blind but it sure would be convenient. Is the price worth it, do you get your money's worth out of these boxes? How is the customer service? Thanks in advance!

I think they toys are pretty dang safe, perhaps the metal C rings could be replaced with plastic if you're worried. I'm lucky though because my two boys don't swallow non food items. I personally feel like I'm getting my money's worth but others may not. Ilove that it's a surprise every morning month and it's fine to open it with the birds too. I was charged twice one month and I emailed them and they got back to me in about 24 hours and apologized to me and refunded me for both charges making my last months box free. That was really nice! Hope this answers your questions.

Iā€™ll post pics when mine comes in so you all can see an example of the small bird version. I think it will get here tomorrow.

Okay hereā€™s the small bird version for January. The treats are freeze dried peas. Just peas, no other ingredients. I think those will be a hit. The two toys in front are toys Iā€™ll let her use out of cage/under supervision. I worry about her toes getting caught, but these will be great on the play gym Iā€™m building. The toy in the back (which was in the other one too) is sola wood - super soft wood Bumble loves. Thereā€™s a bell underneath which Iā€™ll probably remove. Cute little blue ball, and finally the packing material also looks fun to chew and could be used for foraging games.

Price: $35/month for single month subscription, $30/mo for 3 months, $25/mo for 6 months.

I looks much the same as ours. My boys looooove the peas which is wonderful because it's hard to get veggies in mine. I like the sticker because it's too true!

I think your toys are just a smoosh bigger, but otherwise the same. And yes-that sticker needs to find a good home [emoji16]. I did a 6 month subscription and I definitely think itā€™s worth the $25/month but Iā€™m not sure if I would think so at $35. But itā€™s a great, easy way to make sure there are lots of new toys!!

So just for fun, I figured out the actual value of my box. I found all 3 of the toys by going to the websites (planet pleasures, bird addiction, and bonka birds). They all retail around $5. With a little more effort, I was able to fix the freeze dried peas - $3.50. The little ball and the sticker really little to none retail value. So about $18.50 worth of product shipped to me for $25. If I were to order these things separately, it might cost more because of shipping from 4 places, but I wouldnā€™t order from 4 separate places. If I were paying the month-to-month price of $35 Iā€™d be pretty heated.

Well you're not factoring in the service it takes to thoughtfully pick out the toys and make and test the receipt ext. Let's face it, I was never going to go online and pick out Valentine's day themed toys for my parrots... who has the time. For me it's worth it and it's cute and fun for the whole family.

Haha! Definitely true on the ā€œfun for the whole family.ā€ And I do appreciate the convenience of new toys on a regular basis. I just wanted to make sure other people looking into it had all of the information. [emoji16]
