- Sunny the Sun Conure (sept '18, gotcha 3/'19). Mr Jefferson Budgie & Mrs Calliope Budgie (albino) (nov'18 & jan'19). Summer 2021 Baby Budgies: Riker (Green); Patchouli, Keye, & Tiny (blue greywings).
Calliope and Jefferson don't like to be separated. Every now & then they temporarily find themselves on opposite sides of their cage, but they usually rectify that mistake immediately. Even exploring - or, right now, flying - outside the cage , they stick together.
And most of the time, they are very happy with their togetherness. But now & then, more often than I would like, they begin squabbling. Even , sometimes, seem to attack each other physically sometimes.
A few of these times, I have tried taking one of them out, & into another (smaller) cage. I place it next to the regular cage, and they both quickly go to the sides next to each other, and complain about the cage walls separating them.
It seems clear, they doN't want to live separated. But I'm concerned it might eventually become necessary.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
