poor guy, glad he is happy and healthy
Do you have to maintain the beak to keep it right or is he able to do that pretty much himself?
awww, that is heart breaking! Maybe you should die your hair silver LOLSpirit is harness trained and will eat anything I give him. Not much to be petted he just loves to hang out with me or get on the floor and rampage around. Cats run from him , just last week he grabbed the whiskers of the young male we have and bounced his head off the cement floor a few times.
He has a sad back story. When we got him it was from a lady who was selling him and a zon. The zon was so sick it could not perch and Spirit here was in a cage way to small to spread his wings. I got him and found a group to help the zon. When he got home he sounded just like a little old lady dying. he would cough and cry "Help me) in a vary soft ladies voice, the worst was when he would mimic the death rattle. and say "bye bye"
I renamed him and started training, he had major fear issues and still will not trust a guy. I would not say we are best of friends. More like roommates who know each other well and put up with what ever they do. Now he loves any one with grey hair, and i have thought about re-homing him, but he has been through enough. This is his for ever home.
I bet that is niceI was so happy to find out Danny would have a normal beak! If I had two with short beaks people would really think I was doing it my self!
