Something is wrong with Rocky please help :(

Passwells has "meat meal" in it..... it doesn't mention what kind of meat is in it.

I think Vetafarm may have a better pellet, plus they have a better method to convert birds over onto a healthier diet!

Vetafarm - Designed by Vets...Perfect for Pets

The key word here is caution........never switch a birds food (seed or pellets) cold turkey. Even if the package says it is ok. Do it gradually like the others said 50/50 to start then increase the pellets gradually. Seed is ok for a treat a couple times a week unless it is a bird that only eats seed. Making changes in a birds food too drastically can cause dehydration or death. Thanks.

They are back on seed because I'm still getting over the scare of what happened. I will try again soon but will do 50/50. The problem is I have 5 tiels in a cage so it's hard to monitor that they are All eating enough pellets. I may even just introduce pellets in a separate bowl

I have been mixing in some pellets with the seed though so it's a good start

I actually find it easier converting a group of birds vs converting only one bird. If at least one bird checks the food out, then so will the others. Monkey see, monkey do.

If you look at the following post, and the part of the thread where I have pictures of a few birds eating a pellet "paste" and seed mixture, I was actually converting several birds, I just didn't put up pictures of all the birds eating the food.
