I just redid Roy my albino beauties cage because the humidity just wasn't working correctly. His scales were feeling a little rough and dry. I ordered 100% organic cocohusk online and it came in today! So now it is at around I don't know close to 100% humidity whoops! I might have made the cocohusk just a little tiny bit too wet:54: I'll have to keep an eye to make sure his scales are okay in the next few days with all that humidity going on while it drys out a bit. Right now he is really liking the humidity and is actually going in his hide right now where it is even higher humidity.

Random beardie pics from tonight! He is shedding right now so a little dull on the body.

Ivy my motley girl looking for an escape route. She actually just got moved into the rack tonight along with my white sided guy.

And the new hypocalico beauty had her first shed and it was perfect of course:D

Love these photos! I open them with anticipation, not dread now, and with both eyes open, no more sideways glances. I think the beardie is my favourite though :) Is your snake filing cabinet all full up now? Do you have a reptile room in your home?

Thanks! I'm glad you are enjoying them now not just wondering what that crazy snake person is putting up now:p I can't wait for my beardie to shed colors just keep getting better on him!

Lol my snake filing cabinet has 4 open spots right now and two of those are reserved for two of my hatchlings that aren't big enough for it yet. Then, one of the filled spots is my mothers snake that will eventually be evicted. So I have three open spots still:D Plus, I have 3 open display cages. Alright technically no open display cage since I'm going to take one upstairs for Catty and then the new boa girl is going to live in one for her first couple years. And Roy is living in one right now but he is being upgraded to a bigger cage once I order the bigger cage:54:

I keep everyone but my two original snakes in my room...my room is the animal room though if you ever walked in the house its more like the house is the animal room...:52: My mother actually wants to have my beauties as 'display animals' in the living room. They are pretty and friendly so I don't mind if she has them upstairs though I will probably have a lock on them incase of children...

How can something be 'not big enough' for the filing cabinet? I figure too big and they'll slide straight up and out?

Basically a rack has shelves where you slide a plastic container on. The top of the shelve prevents any up and out. The plastic containers are only about 6 inches high. But there is a slight gap for air circulation at the top so the top of the shelve isn't flush against the plastic container. The gap is pretty small but a baby snake would be able to squeeze through if it was determined to explore the world at large.
