My new panama doesn't eat dry pellet himself. He eats all other food(vegies, fruits) by himself except dry pellet. He likes pellet soaked in warm water and I feed him. He is about 19 weeks now.
I give him zupreem and harrison pellet in his bowl. He just waits me for feeding him every time.
He was weaned before I brought him home. Right now it seems he still likes hand feeding.
Should I cut this off and let him be hungry and eat by himself totally?

Keep soaking his pellets, and see if he might feed himself... As he's eating fruit and vegies, he might not get hungry enough, but I would just keep on offering it.

If you don't mind hand feeding it to him, it probably won't do any harm, except for spoiling him a little...

Hand feeding is OK,no harm. Most of my Panamas soak their food in the water dish,They love fresh fruit but i still find lots in their water dish after feeding, and it seems the Pan drink more water than any other of the zons. Are you using a syringe or spoon when handfeeding ?Try the spoon and use a small shallow dish, they'll usually awitch over to eating on their own. Wet pellets are ok ,but they spoil very quickly so replace them after a couple of hours. You can make them drier and drier as you go along and before long he'll learn to dunk his own.Sounds like is the perfect time to work on that "afraid of hands" thing.

My Nanday conure soaks her pellets in her water dish half the time, so she must like them softer or moister as well. I'm sure eventually your bird will begin eating them itself, and it may do that. I just have to change the water a lot, lol!
