Took Drago out for a walk today. He also got some excercise on flying and is doing well. Right now he's trying to taste everything and just wants to explore and fly. Very very energetic but still very quiet and clumsy. Can't wait till he makes me more deaf! :)

Awesome pictures of Drago! Im a harness even!:D

Amy loves outside also..she is a totally different bird when we go places..It is sunny and in the mid 80's here today and tomorrow, and I have off from work also :p..Today I will ride my Harley and tomorrow will be spent outside and about with my Amy.

how old is Drago? and how hard was it to get him to accept the harness?

Jim

Great photos!

Remember that based on your location in the Great White North. You will want to have Drago near or in a South facing window, especially in the Winter months!

Thank you! :) Same here with Emil my red lored amazon! How nice! I hope you'll have a wonderful day tomorrow! :D

Drago is about to be 3 months young only. All I had to do is put the harness on every day and take him outside everytime and he'll learn that harness means getting outside, which is fun! He actually looks forward to me putting it on him now! :D So easy but Emil was another story. It was hell and my hands were all cut up and bleeding before I managed to get it on.. After 6 months.

Thanks! :D

I'm very well aware of that as i'm a member of an parrot group called Parrots of Sweden, and we learn all kinds of important stuff. I prefer to have them away from the windows close to a corner in the room. But I have plans on making the whole room their aviary soon. So That'll be nice. :)

What a handsome blue front! 3 months old and so much blue already?! Sounds like he is a fast learner too and will be a great companion:)

Thank you Kiwibird! He really is. I think he has the best of both worlds. Lots of blue and lots of yellow and red on the wings! :D It's going to be interesting to see and compare the looks years from now

Thank you Scott! Love this little creature. Nothing is as beautiful to me than to see a parrot outside, free! :D

Absolutely! I would dearly love to harness some of mine, but the area is rife with predators. Several species of hawks, probably of least concern are the crows. They make themselves noticeable and do not dive-bomb!
