So soon!

haha that's awesome!! I'm already saving clothes that don't fit or are too ripped up to wear for anything other than beachwear to make all kinds of toys for my birdie, and I'll deff. include pictures with them! If I can get enough people to want a copy of my little guide thingie then maybe I'll make it a regular thing :) I always make little magazines and handouts/newsletters for my department here at school!

If you need any help with that feel free to drop me a message :)

For sure! I might make a new email address and have members of this site submit pictures and stuff. Maybe do contests (just for fun! no prizes, I am a college student afterall!) It'd be tailored to Conures though since that's all I know about haha

Defiantly sounds like a fun project to do :) and would help get everything that people normally research into a single site or paper

exactly! I've thought about doing it for beardies too.. there's SOOO much more technical stuff and controversy with beardies than conures that i've found so far

lol all this talk about Beardies makes me want to get a Bearded dragon aswell lol

Haha they're great. they can eat (almost) everything a conure can! haha check out your local craigslist to see if anyone is getting rid of any. A lot of times people trash them because they get bored with them :( (they don't really do all that much lol) but they're great pets, and contrary to popular belief... they do have a LOT of personality and they very much bond to their handler(s) <3

I might over the summer! I have to find room for them though D: I already scraped my room so I could fit the bird cage, no more study desk for me :P

haha awwe... they do require rather large cages... my dragons are in a 38 gallon and a 65 gallon (keep them separate to reduce possibility of baby dragons! lol)

I'd more inlikely only get one unless otherwise told they enjoy pairs lol

As for the tank, I have so many giant tanks laying around in the garage or in storage it almost scares me :(

you can put dragons of similar size together while they're young. typically, they're not companion animals so they don't particularly like company unless they're accustomed to it. I keep mine separate cause Osiris is a horndog and Tessie is an egg machine (apparently lol) don't put 2 males together, they'll fight. 2 females are fine, but again, they have to be similar in size and don't ever put males together unless they're itty bitties and can grow together

Pick up date is June 16th :)!

Just talked to the breeder, told her I had to go out for a bit due to family things and she gave me a date that I could come pay off the rest of the bird and pick the baby up!

Oh how I count the days down! I can't wait for her to send me pictures!

P.S. not sure of the exact hatch date(Ill find out when I get the hatching certificate), but the website hate date says 4/26 so that'll make the bird, 7 week old

WOO! The lady in charge of birds where I'm getting my conure from let me feed the babies!! :D It was *quite* an experience! :) it was really fun and she said she'll let me take my baby whenever I want since she's confident I can feed it safely, I told her no thanks though lol I'd rather let her do it and make sure it's taken care of properly lol not sure of the exact hatch date but it was about 5-6 weeks ago so I'm guessing about 4/13
