So.. solved the Picky eater problem... sort of?

Porter has completely flip flopped...

Now he barely touches his seeds and pellets and eats ONLY his Chop mix.

Generally in this mix are...

About a cup of:

Diced Egg, Almonds or peanuts (Mix of the lot)

Two or Three cups of:

Mixed Veg aka ( Peas, Corn, Carrots, Greenbeans...)
He ONLY likes frozen... nothing else.

A cup or two of:

Chopped Lettuce, Cabbage, Bokchoy and other leafy greens

One or two Cups of:
Diced Apple and pear or Mango and Papaya...
Honestly he prefers the Apple and Pear mix.


Is there anything else I should add to this mix?
Generally I freeze it and make it in a big bunch for the week... the ingrediants change a little depending on what I have in the house but.. He goes at it like its the BEST thing in the world.

What should I add for variety? Maybe Some already cooked noodles or like an Oatmeal mix?

Any advice would be wonderful.

ALL of my birds get this mix.. so it is chopped very fine, but the budgies aren't as picky and will eat anything I put in their cage xP.

Is that cute little bird daffy? I have a yellow budgie also but he's not as solid -colored as yours. Budgies are awesome!

Daffy is a Lutino American Budgie, Yellow mutation.

Took forever to find her.


Blue is a Greywing blue American Budgie .

And Porter is a hybrid Canary wing/ White wing Parakeet.
