I caught Joe and Kiwi snuggling yesterday:07:, though I'm pretty sure only one of them was happy about it:49: My husband says Kiwi is 100% my bird bla bla bla, but if you look closely, you'll see in addition to snuggling the little monster, he built the critter a pillow fort and was playing with him in it too! My animal my butt, he loves this creature just as much as I do

i always heard that amazons aren't cuddly I guess I heard wrong. Bonkers likes to snuggle on occasion also but if you accidentally hit a pin that isn't ready he will quickly turn from snuggling to wrestling.

You are correct that most amazons aren't hugely fond of cuddling or being touched. Kiwi just tolerates it because he trusts us and we don't do it that much.

Buddy is cuddly when Buddy wants to be. When he is, he's on my shoulder pressed against my head and chatters with puffy cheeks.

Well compared to kiwi bonkers is a cockatoo I guess lol. He comes down to snuggle about once or twice a day. I do feel bad for the people who get scared off from the Amazon horror stories because I couldn't imagine a better bird than bonkers.

Salty likes to be covered with a fold of my big thick bathrobe and poke his head out. He will stay there for maybe a minute, and then climb out. I do it to condition him for any toweling that might be needed. Also, I towel him dry when he gets a shower - not rubbing but just wrapping him up in a towel. Other then that, Salt is not a snuggler, closest he comes on his own volition is to shove his beak into my ear to tell me he is ready for a scratchie.

Kiwi has yet to ever ask for scritches. He in fact detests attempts at scritches more than he does hugs and snuggling. At least he'll occasionally tolerate being cuddled, but never tolerates a scritch on the neck or head!

It's a rare occasion if Amy snuggles... Once in a blue moon she will run her beaky across my cheek and rub her poofy face on it..like I said....once in a blue moon..

Kiwi and Julio are clearly brother's from a different Mother! Lots of like Amazonisms!
