We had lots of them here over the past 2 winters, but I didn't get to see any of them in person, unfortunately.

We went on several outings two winters ago in an attempt to see the snowy owl. Seemed like everyone was seeing them! Didn't have any luck

Awwwwwwweeesssoooome !!!! They are one very beautiful bird. We have one
in our area ( a Snowy Owl). Some of you may remember the little screech owl I rescued
and put back with it's momma last spring.

That owl knows exactly what he did look how fabulous he is!! I haven't been lucky enough fm to see a snowy owl in person (and I should hope I never do in Arizona because that would mean they are very very lost) but I love their foofy feet! Owls are so cool

Yes, you are welcome everyone. I know, they sure are breathtaking. I guess I should consider myself lucky to have seen these owls in person. There was a snowy owl living on the freeway right by my house, actually. The day before yesterday, as I was pulling up to my garage, a large grey owl took off from a fence post across the street and flew right over my house. I couldn't tell for sure, because it was night, but I'm guessing great horned owl. Owls are one of my favourites and I find them so beautiful and fascinating! I also love the way they fly! I guess I'm lucky that we have many of them in Alberta so I get to see them in real life
