I see more and more Facebook links on this forum. Please remember not everyone has, uses or feels comfortable using Facebook.
I had a Facebook page for about 2 weeks then did the best I could to delete it.
I was able to read things about "friends" and relatives that I did not want to know, and I feel sure they did not want known.
I don't want to go in to more detail than that here in this venue.
If you want your information to be seen by a large number of people please keep in mind not everyone uses Facebook.
thanks, I will get off my soapbox.

I just started using Facebook about 6 months ago and trust me my friend list is very short. I don't post personal pictures. My Birthday is not announced and I could care less what you dinner last night looked like.

People post way to much personal stuff on there lol

It is the only site that my Job has now deemed off limits as of this week. We can not access it from work anymore. Way to much risk of hacking. I will check it now and then from home just to keep it active .... maybe lol. I did enjoy some of the jokes i saw there. I really liked helping the 911parrotallert site . But can still do that out of FB
So I again join the ranks of the elite club I don't use Facebook lol

I am lucky since FACEBOOK made everyone who had a fake page name put their real names on it. My name is my stage personae, it COULD be a real name, and my band uses the page for public announcements and to keep in touch with our fanbase. My wife, and sons all had to change their page names.

Your not alone, I don't not have Facebook either. And my job requires it to drop and pick up shifts. I guess I'm just old fashion.mybe one day I'll create a page, but for now I'm happy without it....most days lol

I started a Facebook page when I lost Maggie.

There's nothing on it. I used it to track down a certain bartender...

I'll add that I'm in the don't use, won't use group and now I'm just going to go crank up my old imperial typewriter. LOL.

Facebook is my only connection to the outside world since I'm bedridden 23 hours day. It's also the best way to update my family and friends about my health - repeating the same info over and over is truly a pain.

Yup to each their own. Facebook is a great tool in the horse industry for networking and selling horses nationwide. Before Facebook I used to have to maintain a webpage and it wasn't easy. Now everyone checks FB for horses for sale. It's great.

It's also how I keep in touch with family and share pictures very easily. I don't post anything i don't want anyone to know. If it's there it's not embarrassing or personal info.

I have a FB page, but spend very little time interacting in that venue. But I respect those who gain access and comfort with its incredible tentacles of connectivity!
