small birds

There are 15 of us again. 5 dogs, 4 birds, 2 cats, a guinea pig, a bearded dragon, one man, and one crazy "cat" lady.

She claims the neighbor's friend just showed up and dumped two canaries with cages on us. She bought the beardie, and now we have another old foster dog that will be with us 'til it dies.

Is there some kind of support group for the spouse of those who hoard animals?

If you see it as humor, there is a group here of supports of friends and family that seem to be a magnet. Its hidden, with in the Sub-Forums.

If you're serious, there are mental health groups out there as most towns and cities have laws as to how many animals (and what type) any single home can have.

re: the circus that is our home

Well it seems the lizard that has to be fed other living creatures regularly is for sale.

The hospice dog (15 1/2 years old and has large tumors) is well behaved and the family of the late owner is helping with the vet bills and paying the fare to the rainbow bridge when the time comes.

The special needs dog is going to have to be crated
