Show your Birds play area (Gyms, ropes, trees)

Here are a couple of pictures of Valentino's tree. The pictures were taken before he came home so it was all clean and toys nice and new. He does chew on the wood of the tree but so far all the "hooks" are still intact and I can still hang toys on them. I need to do a complete replacement of all the toys on it but for now he is destroying what is left. For now I limp along with piecing together existing toys for him to destroy. Later after I settle I will buy him new toys. I just need to set up a way to pay for stuff on line.

Problems I run into with my RFM is he EATS THE BOWLS. They are made out of this earth like material reminds me of squished together clay like subtance that is formed by hand with something that binds the material together. I checked with Kings Cages (Java tree made by them) and they assured me the bows are "safe if parrot eats it". I'm inclined to think since Valentino's species comes from the desert cliffs of Brazil I wonder if I should include some kind of clay for him to snack on. It is not like he has to detox from eating toxic plants and nuts but maybe he is hard wired to eat clay???

This is my main one...

http://www.parrotforums.com/do-yourself/51070-monster-playstand-tutorial.html

I have a separate play table that I built for Sally, and two store bought playstands for Maggie and for Tusk and Lila.

Sally's playstand is essentially a couple of harvested manzanita trees that were cleaned off. I screwed table legs into a prefab Home Depot framed craft board, and screwed the tree into the base. It took me longer to clean off the wood than it did to make the playstand. She's lived on that thing ever since... it's around 8 years old now, and still going strong.

I'm about to make a new and improved version of this from a load of grapewood, that will incorporate PVC and cargo nets as well. It's time to retire that 20 year old garage sale stand.

Maggie's wooden one is two years old, and will need to be replaced soon. It was several hundred dollars, and she is in the process of chewing it to bits.

The metal one I got used at a garage sale for $20.00 about 20 years ago...

I love everyones set up. I would love to build Kalypso one. EXCEPT she is really needy . I set up a bunch of toys on top of her cage and she would only mess with them as long as I was standing by the cage. She prefers humans to anything well not humans me and sometines my mom.

Pumpkin does that too! He has a play top and a gym and toys and he will only play if I'm standing there, STANDING ...it's a tall cage. Even then, he plays for 5-10 minutes then just wants my shoulder. Not sure if it's just cause he's still a baby... idk.
