Hi, Moved Billy into the bay window today so he can catch the last rays off summer, in the UK the days are getting shorter at an amazing rate.
I normally move him in about 4 weeks but Ive been off work so took advantage off some spare time.
Hes been like a bird on steroids today, you can he loves the sun, great to see him happy.

May I ask...why isnt your lil guy by the window all the time? Just curious

I have to agree with you there! It just amazes me how we can suddenly go from it still being Daylight at 9pm to suddenly getting dark at 7pm:(.. What makes it worse is our lack of Summer this Year, which is going to make the Winter seem very long:(

Codie loves the Sunshine too:) I am not too bad as the Room she is in gets lots of Sun. Billy looks like he was enjoying our rare sunshine today :)

But they say that we will have a short and warm winter. And then we order a long and warm summer. :)

Do you all, with little sun, use the UV lights?
I have but I can't use mine. My birds are everywhere so it's waste of electricity. Last winter I move the lamp so many times, I was hoping that now I have found the best place, but no, no..
But my birds are outside very much when its warm and sunny so perhaps they know that they don't need the lamp?
I give A + D vitamin everyday to my birds. So I don't think the lamp is so important then.

It can get very hot sat behind all that double glass, he comes outside in the garden with us during the summer but I always put something on the cage for him to find some shade when he want some.
