Recently, my Scarlet has to be inside my shirt. We have worked on a lot of jealousy and territorial behaviors, which she has made progress on. Is this another mating behavior? Could not find any info. She even waits until I pass and snags the back of my shirt and rides on my back submerged under the shirt where I cannot get her. I don't want to jeopardize our progress by allowing something I should not. Thanks. Pic attached.

Well, I am a self-acknowledged victim to whatever my Patagonian dishes out, buttttttttttt... he has done this all his life. Likes to ride around in my shirt, peeking his head out on top and commenting on the passing world. He enjoyed digging talons into my bra-cups for stability!
I used to rely on this for visits to Renaissance fairs, the Vet, friends' houses... now I use a travel crate out of improved caution!
Anyway, I think it's adorable. ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How fortunate to spend your life with such a companion. I also have a travel bag for my Scarlet, she loves going to the mall, grocery store, or really anywhere she can people watch. She is in the hormonal stage of her life and so that is a work in progress. Just don't want to make it any tougher on her by allowing improper behavior. Thank you for the reply!

That's too cute!

What amazing trust on both sides for a parrot with a big beak like that to crawl inside his human's shirt and hang out!

Pebbles does that too, but she gets super territorial and starts biting my chest. Once, she went down so low in my brother's shirt she got lost and started biting frantically. He got pretty hurt lol. In my opinion, it does activate her mating behavior but i think it is different for every bird.
