Grey IRN baby - Coming home July 2015
Yes, Princess Rosa has arrived! And she is SUCH a brave and well behaved girl. She came immediately to me, at her prior home. Right out of the cage, and onto my hand. She gripped tight and kept saying 'Rosa! Good Rosa!' and displaying, bouncing up and down and being generally hilarious. I was so happy she remembered me and was so happy I had returned. The drive home with her was frustrating for her. She was frustrated and confused and dying to get out and snuggle. It was an hour and half of my holding the latch the travel cage closed, as she sorted out how it worked in record time >.<

Once home I spent about an hour with her in our small bathroom, just calming her and talking her down from her emotions. She was SO worked up, and upset... I left her for about 40 minutes to get my kids ready and into bed, and once all was quiet I went back in and she immediately came to me for cuddles. She makes the sweetest dang sounds. All soft and monkey like. I took her out of the bathroom and sat on the couch with her. She was all about the cuddling, and even went bravely to DH and bowed her head like the doll she is for some pets. <3 She is not at all afraid of the big dog (140 lb Dane) and when the dog came over to say hello she simply puffed herself up, opened her mouth and let out a little hiss. B backed right off, and Rosa got lots of praise.

So, our first evening was a great success. LOTS of cuddles and chatting (2 hours worth) before I put her to bed, and so far she seems quite content.

Yay! So, a few days of settling in, and then we can start working on her picking. :p:white1:

Here she is, My gorgeous snuggly princess.

She has such a pretty face and doesn't she love her momma!!! I am a big believer thst some animals are meant to be with some people. Looks like you are that person for Rosa :) like she is telling you, no adjustments, I am finally home!!!

Keep us posted, so happy to see another Too in a loving home :) :10:

I'm so glad to hear the family decided to do the right thing for Rosa. I'm betting she is going to be so happy with your family! She already looks so very comfortable with you, that last photo especially. Thats so rare to bring home a rescue and have them come right out of the cage and snuggle on your shoulder. And, it doesn't look like she is too bad of a plucker, so I'm betting with the attention and mental stimulation she needs, she will be fully feathered again in no time:D. Good luck with her, and I'm sure you'll be keeping us posted with her progress:09:

Thanks everyone :) She is handling things like a pro. Honestly. She has been out of her cage most of the morning, just hanging out and observing. She has danced and showed off for us, wolf whistled at Hubs when he came in for lunch (apparently she has awesome taste LOL) and now she is covered up for a nap. She was dozing off on her perch but with the busy kids she was having trouble not being disturbed. LOL So, Ill cover her up for a couple hours and bring her back out in a bit. I am so proud of her. My house is BUSY, and she has taken it all in stride. No fear, no grumps, just acceptance. She hasnt wanted to cuddle yet today, but I cant blame her. Little kids move fast, and its hard to get a good cuddle in while watching them rip around LOL She did eat some pellets, had a couple blueberries, an almond and a little piece of cheese, which is her fave. She's played a bit with some dried grass toys, and so I think she's gonna be ok. I expected a much shier bird, timid and frightened. But so far that has not been the case. Yay Rosa!

Obviously we are completely in love. Hehe! ;)

Oh my gosh, she is beautiful! And she looks so happy with you:) I am thrilled that she ended up with you, I think it was meant to be:)
So glad you got the pictures to post!!!!!
