Oh boy, no matter what I do, she is flying to the bookshelf and looking for a spot to make a nest............ :(
The small crack between the books looks good right now...... :)
I removed everything from the top of bookshelf since this video, and she is flying to the top of it still for the entire morning.
HELP!!!!!!

Thank you so much for letting me know. It should be fine now, sorry.

Lol that was really cute! :) well, the way those books were set up it definately looked like a fort, she could see inside was hollow. Is that towel/blanket still up there? I could see how that definately would make being up there more attractive. If she's not actually building a nest I wouldn't worry too much about it, it's a seasonal thing, part and parcel with having a bird. :)

See what a PITA hens can be?? What ever you do , don't prolong her "season" . Get some new toys, move her cage , send the "favorite person" on vacation, distract her some way. The bigger of a deal her first few seasons are , the bigger of a deal it will be later in life. "Nip it in the bud"

PS Hens are only "nesty"when everything in their life is right. All the conditions have been met. They're fat, happy, secure, got a good mate(you), life is good. Shake things up alittle. I'm not suggesting being mean or something. Change something to distract her. If she has a set routine ,change it. The more things you can do the better,do it all at once. Shake her up alittle.

Oh my, I was so glad to read that...... :). In a way I am so happy she is happy, but I need to find more things for her to do.
Thank you so much henpecked, for your suggestions.
She is a great student in learning the new tricks. I just wish I had more time to spend with her to do that. Also the weather is getting somewhat better here, so more showers might help. She was getting only one shower a week. I might move birds cages too. Great idea!
