My bf was over and he opened the cage door to let her out and she kept on leaning into my closet to check that out and we didn't want her to try to go in there so he reached his arm to her and she climbed on. Then waddled her way up to his shoulder and started doing his hair and inspecting him with her beak with hardly any pressure. She's been very friendly to him since she came here and he was able to pet her through the cage and she would practically fling her head at him to scratch.
So much for thinking I wouldn't be able to handle her. I did pick her up after they were done. So you guys were right, after 15 years of not being handled, she still likes humans. She seems to really like men though, she's in good with my brother as well. Maybe she can sense that I am a little scared of her. Now I just need to handle her when my bf isn't here so I can bond with her more I made an appt for her to go to the vet next week to get her nails done and checkup. She tore up Jeff's neck pretty good with her super long nails, poor guy
Thanks again for everyone's support in my other thread, and I guess I won't need that mechanical arm like luke skywalker
