I was wondering if anyone has a camera setup to record their parrots 24/7. I ask because I know I'm missing some moments with Buddy and Buzz. If Buzz sees me looking at him, he stops what he's doing and I've caught him in the middle of a plot many times! I think Buzz is trying to interact with Buddy close up, like today Buzz opened Buddy's food door, stole food, and Buddy came out through the door. I watched Buzz hop between both cages over Buddy. Buddy wasn't upset by it. But if Buzz sees me looking, he stops everything. I'm hoping to catch their activities and closet talking. They both closet talk. Also Buzz has a ton of new soundbox sounds, his current favorite sound is the microwave beep. Kitchen microwave beeps, livingroom microwave beeps in answer. I'd like to catch all that on video.

If you do what kind of camera do you use?

I also would love to see what everyone else is using. I currently use an app that takes control of an old tablet/phone camera, but the quality is terrible. I have been wanting to upgrade to a good indoor camera for awhile now.

Looking forward to responses.

My partner and I plan on setting up a Raspberry Pi with a camera - they have tiny cameras with pretty good quality (1080 if I remember correctly), so long as the camera is stable. Either that camera or an old webcam.

We don't old working phones, tablets, or laptops, but the Raspberry Pi is already more ideal since it's so small.

Our next struggle is setting up the monitor screen for him to see us and maybe watch YouTube.

We have an amazon cam on the aviary it’s pretty cool and you can hear her too , it’s set up was really easy , had to find the best spot not a wide view . Something was eating all our stuffing out of the chair cushions outside and we wanted to find the culprits , ‘‘twas just a squirrel lol so we already had it

I have a couple Zmodo wifi cameras for checking on the birds. They're inexpensive and good for welfare checks from my iphone, but if you want good audio I wouldn't recommend them. They are more of a security cam.
