I'm actually thinking about adding a BCC to my flock. Anyone know of a good breeder in Southern California??? My google searches didn't turn anyone up.

I want a blue crown conure too! I need one, I LOVE them! And the creepy thing is, I'm in southern California too. Coincident! I'm having a very hard time finding a breeder, so if anyone knows.....

And for obtaining one....i got LUCKY. I met one i liked a lot and he was sold, so i started a search and no one had them. Breeders had waiting lists, but i just happened to find Gilbert. I was looking online and yes i had to buy him without meeting him and have him shipped, but I did research the breeder and they are very well liked and they were VERY nice to do business with. He was 'meant to be' for me.

Meanwhile, I can't find anything.... Does the Magnolia Bird Farm breed them? I know they offer several different types of conures, not sure about BCCs.

Avis is a very talented talker and a real cutie. I have to wait til March 2013 to get my mine. Though it really would not be til May to actually bring the baby home once the weaning process is complete. Waiting is always the hardest part but it is worth it at the end.

Gah I am getting more and more discouraged.... Though it's not like I'm getting him/her anytime soon! I just like to daydream; I still have 4 more years LOL! Got names (over 150 LOL) to narrow down, but I'm thinking Emi, Elli, Alice, Hazel Grace, for a girl. Alphie, Ralphie, Harvey, Tucker, Puck, Eli (Eel-eye), etc.... I plan ahead LOL.

I like Ellie far as the girls name and Ralphie is good name if it is a boy. I personally have not even given a thought to the name yet but the wifey and I would both have to agree to it. Peace be to you.

Well the future BC will be a boy and the only name that keeps creeping up in mind is Casper. The wifey likes that name as well. We orginally were going to buy a Red Bellied parrot last year and name him Casper but instead we went with a Meyers parrot which we named Monty. Monty passed away this past summer because of a Hawk encounter. Since that time my wife will not let me buy another Meyers because of her deep lost and love for Monty. When Monty first layed eyes on my wife he fell in love and threw up his food its a sign that the bird loves you. The breeder and I were taken back because I never seen a bird ever do that on the very first encounter! I miss little Monty but Peaches has been a great blessing.
