Parrots
Green-cheeked conure, Black-capped conure
My husband and I are seeking an experienced parrot owner in the New York Tri-State area to assume the care of our two fully-flighted adult female conures (turquoise green-cheeked and black-capped). They are sweet, wonderful girls, in excellent health, and we want to ensure that they go to the best possible home, where they will be kept together, kept flighted, and kept happy. :) We will request a (virtual) interview, (virtual) home tour, veterinary reference, and signed contract from any potential adopter. Please contact me if you are interested in discussing further, or know someone who is. Thank you!

PS - I am purposefully not including photos in this initial post to help weed out spurious replies. Presumably anyone who is knowledgeable about green-cheeked and black-capped conures knows what they look like. Thanks for understanding!

Welcome to the forum. If you can let people know area birds are located to get better responses form someone in that area. If you have pictures of birds?

Hello there CellarDoor709 and welcome to the Forums. I'm sorry for the circumstances surrounding the need to rehome your conures.

Please note that as you do not as yet have the requisite number of posts (20), and because our rules do not permit the publication of personal contact details on the open Forum, our members will be unable to contact you directly. In the interim, interested parties may forward a message to any of the Moderator team (our names appear in purple) and we will forward the messages for you.

You seem like you are already willing to take some very responsible and proactive steps in rehoming your babies. Unfortunately we are often targetted by new, and sometimes non-genuine, members who are continually scanning for opportunities like these, and in view of that, may I please refer you to the following sticky....

Thank you for joining, and I wish you the very best of luck finding a great new home for your little ones :)

Hi I am in NYC and have fostered parrots previously and the current pack includes 4 dogs, 1 cat and 1 20 year old Greenwing macaw named Oliver. Oliver is fully flighted but does not fly yet. He is a recent addition to the family and I hope train him to free fly. He just came off a molt and finally settling down to his friendly sweet self again. He has a stainless steel double macaw cage when joke is home otherwise he is out. Happy to discuss more if it seems like a good fit
