Seasonal Price Fluctuations?

Do the price of certain species of parrots (I'm looking at specifically Pionus and Poicephalous) change throughout the year? I remember looking at Senegals for only around 600 last Summer but they're currently selling for over a thousand.

There are few things that are not effected by Supply and Demand! And, here in the Great White North, there are fewer babies available because babies are 'out of season.'

That said, Rescues are 'in season' year around...

Yes, seasons do fluctuate the price greatly, especially with parrots and finches, and of course prices do fluctuate through greater demand and if all of a sudden, alot of people are looking for that particular bird
Thanks

I know there are many great birds in rescues that need good homes. Unfortunately, I’m not looking for many of the common birds in rescues (precisely because they are common in rescues).

What is considered “in-season”?

Pretty much the same time of year that the Wild Birds start having babies. But with a normal lead-time to complete weaning and be on solid food for a few weeks.
